Winners of the $380 Birthday Thanksgiving Giveaway Event

I apologize for the late announcement of winners for our $380 Birthday Thanksgiving Giveaway Event. Before we announce the winners, on behalf of Mommy Ruby, I would like to thank all those who joined for making our first Giveaway event a success. We truly appreciate all your support and patience.

To all the participants, we hope that you had fun in joining as much as we had fun hosting it. As a tip, we will be having more Giveaways soon so we don’t recommend unfollowing or unsubscribing to GFC, Facebook or Twitter. In staying as a follower, joining the next giveaway will be a breeze for you because you no longer have any tasks to do (wink wink) and just need to fill up the rafflecopter form for your entries.

To those who will unfollow or unsubscribe, we cannot force you not to. You may still do so if you wish. However, we do try to keep track of those who do, and some even have a list for tracking. Why is there a list? A network of people who do giveaways recently had an issue that some who joined immediately unfollow or unsubscribe when they do not win and then follow again when there is another giveaway open on the same blog, then repeats the process every time.

Although it may not matter to you, it does hurt the blog owner when someone unfollows just because they didn’t win.  This is why some of the blog owners are now thinking of ways on how to reward or give more chances to their loyal followers in their next giveaway, as well as strive to  make their content more inspiring, interesting or entertaining to their readers.

So without further ado, the winners are:
Winners are:
$100 – Teressa Oliver
$100 – Ane Fallarme

$60 – Dhadha G.
$60 – Cielo

$30 – Susan Heim
$30 – Jasmine1485

Below is the same code for Rafflecopter, announcing the winners.

Halloween Party at the Country Club

This is the first year that I am so excited for Halloween. When my little girl was 1, we were invited to the Halloween Party at the company I used to work for. She didn’t get scared of the costumes and effects, but she didn’t have fun either because she didn’t understand the idea behind the whole thing. She also couldn’t ask for her own treats because she would shy away from my friends, plus, she couldn’t eat most of the sweets that were given.

When she was 2, she somehow understood that it was a different kid of party.  She was excited to receive treats but she’d be so afraid of the costumes and effects.  I was actually worried that she would have nightmares when she sleeps.

Now that she’s 3, she’ll have her first official party at the school she’s enrolled in.  We were lucky that I scheduled her first class last week and was invited to attend their party.  Right after her class, we went to the mall to find a costume for her just to make sure we have everything ready for her event.  When I see her look at her costume now, I see the twinkle in her eyes and I know that is it the right time for her to attend a Halloween party.  She wasn’t scared of the masks in the mall anymore and even braved wearing some of them to try and scare her Daddy.

I remember my childhood days when my (late) father was still a member of several Country Clubs. They had events especially for kids for New Year, Easter, Summer, Halloween and Christmas. We would have a blast every time we attended one and we always looked forward to the end of the school year because we’d spend many days during the summer vacation in the club. Our parents would enroll us for swimming, tennis or golf lessons every year. We would always look forward to every day we’d spend there because of the yummy treats in their diners and restaurants.

Currently, we’re not a member of any Club yet but we’re working on it. I can only imagine the day when we get to be members again and I’m sure my little girl will love the experiences she’ll have from being a member of the club. For now, I’m content when I see some great Florida Country Clubs from different shows on TV but I know in my heart, that soon we’ll get to experience again.
