It’s St. Valentine’s Day again soon and a lot of people are looking for that perfect gift for their loved ones. Yes, Valentine’s Day has been so commercialized that more and more items are offered as gifts but most people I know still prefer the traditional ones, from flowers and chocolates to simple greeting cards.
In this day and age where prices are just sky high, it makes me think if it’s still practical to buy an expensive Valentine’s gift. Maybe it’s also because we’ve been together so long and we’re both practical nowadays that we both don’t go all out for this “event”. We just spend the day together (and recently with the little one too), or the weekend after it if Valentine’s Day fall on a work day, and just have fun. Unlike our weekly family day, we just dine at a semi-fancy restaurant to kind of commemorate the day.
This year though, I’m thinking of buying a little extra for the hubby. After all, he is the Valentino for two women in his life now, me and our little princess. Thankfully I found an Online Sweet Shop that I can buy treats from. I’m sure he’ll love it because it’s something spontaneous, and we’ll love it too because we all love jellies plus the little one loves hearts too!
