Today is Mommy Ruby‘s Princess Bella’s 2nd birthday and tomorrow is my Princess Max’s 3rd. Because we have been so blessed this year, from having the best of friends to our successful online opportunities and endeavors, we decided to hold this Birthday Thanksgiving Giveaway for our little princesses.

This is a multi-blog giveaway sponsored by 38 wonderful blogs. You have 114 chances to be a winner of at least $30 through paypal. Total prize is $380. There will be 2 winners of $30 each, 2 winners of $60 each and 2 winners of $100 each. Birthday Treat

When people organize a surprise birthday party, they treat you to food and goodies. I like this idea because as the celebrant, you don’t have to spend for anything :) But for us, the celebrant has to treat the whole family, and sometimes plus friends and workmates, to food when we’re celebrating our birthday.

So with our trip to the zoo yesterday, my family were all wondering what happened to us. They weren’t used to us not celebrating a birthday with food, whether potluck or free. So as soon as we woke up, we ordered pancit or noodles to share during merienda cena(late afternoon snack/meal). On the way to my mom’s house, I just bought those litro sachets of fruit juices and some candies for my nephew and nieces.

Even though we only shared noodles among us, we had a good time just hanging out. We also couldn’t help but reminisce the last 6 years, how hard it was for me to conceive and everything I went through, medically and spiritually. Then the discussion about my miscarriage and how good that turned out (that I eventually conceived for real). And finally, how time has flown by, from a baby to a little missy.

The whole time I couldn’t take my eyes off her (except when I was eating). I just thank God I was finally given this gift to become a Mommy.

How do you celebrate birthdays in your family?
