HAPI Homeschooling Conference 2012

Deciding to Homeschool our little girl for Nursery to Preparatory was a decision that both the hubby and I came to after attending an event for Homeschoolers in our country.  Because of this, I am excited for this conference and hope that we can attend since this is a new chapter in our lives as parents, and the beginning of our little girl’s “school life”.

The Homeschooling Association of the Philippine Islands (HAPI) recently made announcements that the country’s 4th Homeschooling Conference has been scheduled to happen on May 19, 2012. Set to take place at St. Francis Square Ortigas Center in Mandaluyong, the event will gather parents, academe, and homeschooling experts in one venue to promote awareness of the program, as well as provide guests with access to homeschool-related tools and services.

Playing for Charity

My mom called me up a couple of days ago and asked about my jars of old coins and pebbles. I was supposed to throw them away when we had our general cleaning but thought to keep them because I was thinking I could use them for some arts and crafts with my little girl when the time comes. When I asked my mom why she needed them, she said it was because of an event in their community.

It has been years since I’ve participated in the Annual Charity Event in our old community. Every summer, an event is organized by the homeowners and part of proceeds will be donated to their charity of choice. The charity/institution changes every year so that more people can share the blessings the homeowners have received.
